    A police department in Louisiana took issue of homelessness on their Facebook page last week in an unapologetic way, after arresting a homeless man who had $800 in cash stuffed in his pockets.

                                          Maybe he made that 800.00 that day with a sign that said "I'm not gonna lie, I need beer moe y". That's what a guy near my gym did and made hundreds a day in a very short period of time and did it 5 days a week. I used to pay a guy to hold a sign that would stand near him at the intersection and we got to know him well. He was making hundreds of dollars a day, anytime he wanted and even had a real job as well. Why assume police don't know him well and talk to him often? That's usually the case with people who do this, are the source of frequent reports and are often breaking the law by being in traffic asking for money.

A very high percent of homeless people either have mental issues or addictions and there is no way to force anyone to get help... but if you can't force someone to get help, that meds to be on mess to function at all... then how do you help them?                                                       I would rather give those guys few dollars than usual "God bless, Jesus this and that". We had one guy with sign like that so I went in and bought him 12 pack.
                                                      The saddest homeless I ever saw was this old clean guy looking for a job. He was laid off from some retail store where he worked for years. He was standing in back roads by Tuesday Morning store type area with "looking for job" sign. He lost his house to reverse mortgage scam and was two years towards retirement. My heart dropped. I gave him all the cash I had and couple Subway gift cards to buy food. He told me he just needed a job to pay his friend back for time he was staying in his house. I came back next day and he was there with white socks on his hands because he was getting a sunburn. I gave him prepaid net10 phone and $150 dollars just in case he needed place to crash. While I was pulling out there were 2 more people talking to old man. He never called me, so I assumed God gave him something. I cried when I drove by week later and didn't see him standing there any more.

                                                          Texas cops being typical Texas dick cops. The guy could of been saving that money for quite some time and trying to get himself a car or even a place to stay.

                                                          He obviously wasn't drinking his money away and wasn't doing drugs. What business is it over their's how much money he had?

                                                          The worst part is they are insinuating that he's banking money from begging, which will lead to homeless people getting attacked and robbed by idiots whom think they all have fat wads of cash.

                                                                  It depends why he's doing it.. If he's lying to try and get himself off the streets then who gives a shit if he's lying.. He's doing what he can to better himself. He's obviously not wasting the money on bad habits.. He was clearly saving it for a reason..

                                                                  It's very unlikely he's lying just to bank a bunch of money, pretending to be a homeless bum, because if he were, he certainly wouldn't just keep that kind of money on his person if he did that all the time. He would be sticking it in a hole somewhere or in a bank.

                                                                                          Some are. We have this crazy lady that get's dropped off by her son-in-law with an s-class near at a hotel parking lot near a shopping center here and she goes around begging in the parking lot of the shopping center. Apparently she's got some mental illness and they just let her do it rather then fight it.

                                                                                                          When I was in Santa Monica I made the mistake of visiting Jack in the box, there was this homeless hippy under 30 who looked at us when we ate and asked for money and made puppy face all the time while we were eating. By the end it got to me and I asked him if he was hungry and told him that I can buy him something to eat, he said sure. I asked him what he wants, and then he asked for the milkshake, i looked at him and said fine, took a second or two to proccess wtf cuz I was so high of cali weed, looked at the menu, saw that this asshat wanted a $3-$4 milkshake which is around the cost of an entire fucking meal, and off I went. Fuck that shit, lol.

                                                                                                                      Used to always drop a few bucks to her, but one day I saw her being picked up in a top end Mercedes Benz... Stopped giving from that point on, and even saw her getting picked up in a Porsche on another occasion...

                                                                                                                      Few months later they had all been arrested as it was a high end organised begging ring, with the employees being dropped off and picked up after 'work' on a daily basis
