It's not a sponsor. It's a money clearinghouse, of sorts. A lot of European affiliates will use that company for their payout details. As a sponsor, you will pay that clearinghouse. That clearinghouse will then pay your affiliate. I have seen a lot of affiliates use that company and they were all fine. Of course, it could definitely be abused so anyone paying to that company should pay attention to those affiliate accounts.

Now why you got a check from them? I haven't the slightest clue.
