    Business Does traffic from Pirate sites convert ?

    hi all.,

    my imaginary friend has around $ ??k and he would like to invest in buying traffic from sites like thepiratebay , kickass , isohunt and blah blah.

    so he would like to know

    Does traffic from Pirate sites convert ? at all ?

    whats the ratio can he get if he place banner on pirate site's adult category stuff , redirecting to landing page and then cam site ?

    you can also suggest some other methods , not involving pirate sites .

    if you think traffic doesnt convert , then why are they still up ? who is financing them ? and why ?

                                  thats what i was thinking , i see they have most installs , so they are promoting some PPI program.

                                  they need to pay for server and other costs , if there are any. so it gotta convert, i just dont know the ratio.

                                      I have no experience about pirate site traffic, but the users are for sure very diverse bunch of folks. So, you can probably sell them anything starting from Mercedes-Benz to How to pirate more effectively-eBook. Not to all of them, but since it is diverse group, to some of them.

                                      For example my Somali friend who has been rumored to have been visiting such site, told me that there are for example wide variety of ebooks, those are clearly targeted for folks who make a decent living, more than a decent living. So it is not just hippies living in welfare visiting those sites.

                                                      Low conversion, but high volume its usually better then low volume.. Worked for me, two of my former pirates are now my best affiliates and are only posting approved clips.... Win win for both.

                                                          i guess ,these are the same people who pays for the cyber locker services., aka file sharing sites to get full length content. so its not like 100% of their traffic is broke and looser.

                                                              as someone who has done VERY large amounts of media buying for over a decade on every possible type of site, my experience is the quality is very low. That is if you are selling adult, dating or cams. I can't speak to games or other products.

Just because someone is "looking for free" doesn't mean they won't pay. Hat idea has always been the mantra of loses in this industry. From the salty days of wares sites to password sites to tubes;, they pay and have always paid. Torrent sites have high volume and price is ALWYS relative to quality so quality is not overly relevant in media buys as costs per clock is always determined by those who convert it and earn the highest earnings per click.

                                                                      Can it work with cams? Obviously... quite a few cam sites buy torrent traffic. Can you make it work without losing $5,000 or $10,000 before actually figuring it out? Unlikely . Buying traffic is a skill. Like any skill, it takes time to learn. That costs money, time, patience and requires a huge amount of determination and drove to make it work. Qualities and traits 99.9% of jack offs in this industry will never have.

                                                                                              As well, when I am browsing free news from local newspaper's website, I ain't buing news, but there happens to be a shitload of very expensive ad positions, those advertise all kinds of stuff, but not news (well, the newspaper advertises its own subscription).
