How much does your state pay in gas taxes?

Did you just add them all together when your total should be .4855 a gallon? I think you did.

State Underground Storage Tank Fee: 1.4 cents per gallon.
State and Local Sales Tax: An average state sales tax rate of 8%
State Excise Tax: 18 cents per gallon.
Federal Excise Tax:18.4 cents per gallon

.378 cents a gallon before the 8% on average sales tax 8 cents on the dollar so lets assign another .32 cents there for easy math.

.698 cents a gallon or more.

Actually I just checked I do not think any state aside from Alaska is higher than CA's taxes on gas.

Man thats some nasty taxing.

We are still paying 2.56 per gallon. Not sure what the taxes are, as its state run. So there most likely are not any.

I got that off the sticker at the pump. I was wondering why most of the tax total was for a "Per Gallon Tax".

We all make mistakes.

Fuck I sent my dad a happy mothers day card. I just saw a good card and grabbed the one behind it cause the front ones often have dirty finger prints. Never checked it, signed it and mailed it. Opps!
