TV Ads for Porn - Will they work

Most of the commercials on TV now direct possible customers to their website, porn would work just as good.

We are interested but never got around to finding out about rates...

30 second spots on local cable systems can be low as $10 each.

The biggest stumbling block / expense is producing the ad itself - running it, at least on local cable systems, is peanuts.

A more challenging issue may be getting it on the air to begin with - advertising it as a sex line / adult personals will likely past muster, though will almost certainly be restricted to late time hours, such as after 10 pm or even later (which is likely what you'd want anyways) depending on the cable system.

Advertising on local TV stations is typically somewhat more expensive, though not necessarily insane ... but since most folks have cable, and the cable cos usually more flexable with better audience targeting, I'd say that's the way to go to start with - see what happens and then run it in more markets / local stations, etc.

I dont think in the US you could do ads for hardcore porn on cable tv.

I always wondered how the GGW ads are allowed to run...

when you go their web site, you can see at least GG action, which would send most religious types into a hissy.
