Charles is the perfect guy to pattern yourself afterI don't know why I forgot to add you to my thank yous.
We have never met before, never spoken before, but you are a huge factor on my success.
As I was lurking gfy a few years back, you stuck out as a young successful guy doing his thing in SEO, and everybody was praising you as being a SEO/SEM GOD, which in turn got me into studying SEO.
I would say I spent 18 months studying, playing around, trial and erroring with search engines before finding a system that worked for me on adult and mainstream.
so, THANK YOU

I am not going to be one of the people that say "bah, only one million" or cut you down in any way. I'm just going to say congrats! I know what it is like to work very hard and very long hours to reach your goal. Only someone that has been can appreciate your sense of accomplisment! Good work!Comment

Fuck the rules, this man has a million liquid. He obviously knows what he is doing.I'm happy for you and admire your hard work and dilligence, but doesn't "getting proxies" mean that you submit under fake nicks etc? I submit as well and the most amount of galleries you could realistically submit a day under your own identity is probably around 5-6 picture galleries or so (more perhaps if you are submitting in completely different niches and therefore a wider variety of sites) and even more if you are also doing vids (because you'll be submitting to even more different sites) and you would be perfectly fine as long as your submit program keeps track of how many submissions each site accepts and how many times you've submitted already, cause there's some sites out there that will accept like 5 gals a day, but once you get to 20, that's a bit too much.
Using proxies is not good I think because you are breaking the tgp rules.
Also, how do you plan on keeping submitting with all this 2257 crap going? (If you're in the U.S)Comment

I've read this book also, my father reached millionaire status a decade or so ago and you would of never realized it. He doesn't purchase new clothing, lives in a duplex and pretty much has the same old 80's Mercedes car which he purchased out of med school. The majority of millionaires I know are not flashy with there money and are quite comfortable with the way they live.Actually, I find it EXTREMELY believable. He probably has one mil in the bank BECAUSE he drives a 95 Neon and lives in a crappy place. If he drove a benz and lived in a nice place he probably wouldn't have a mil liquid right now.
Did you know that the owner of Ikea who is worth 23 BILLION drives a 1993 Volvo and is even known to use his bus pass to save money?

There's this book I read called "Inside The Millionaire Mind" and it reveals the lifestyles of a lot of the millionaires in America who have net worths in the millions.
- It said a lot of them get their shoes RESOLED (have new soles put on their shoes) instead of actually buying new shoe.
- A lot of them reupholster furniture instead of buying new
-They clip coupons to save money.
-Typical millionaire has a net worth of just 3 million and lives in a home valued at under $277,460Comment

most ppl that are millionairs in the US are including their CAPITAL ASSETS right? like value of their house and other properties and if they are owner of the business, then the worth of that
those kind of books are PURE BS, the fact that if someone has millionair status LIQUID Cash and lives in a house worth under 300 is a BIG LIE
if u live in a house under 300K its ghetto and u mite as well be wearing newspaper to ur prom ghetoo
if someone has 1 million liquid and is not doing anything with it, even if that means buying smarter property is stupidLast edited by Jai; 06-29-2008, 02:50 PM.Comment

no offence to the thread starter because his is quite an acheivement but "reaching millionaire status" really doesn't change how you act.I've read this book also, my father reached millionaire status a decade or so ago and you would of never realized it. What he said.Don't knock it - well done and congrats
Couple of things - suggest you do not have that level of balance in any account. You have entered the world of distrust - the next thing to watch for is bank problems and any "new friends". Banks are unlikely to insure that account balance, so worth spreading it.
Another point is - it's worth investing a portion, but only in secure areas with proven growth. Forget the US property market - at least for the moment, but there will be good opportunities there soon. Look wider - there are a number of places with excellent potential - eg one quarter of your balance invested around 4 years ago in the right place, would be worth fractionally over a mill now.
Also remember the international value of your earnings - the dollar is worth less now. That may have relevance depending....
And... what next??
Repeat again, but from a better base - well done man
BREAK THAT MONEY UP ASAP!!!! I'd put it in different banks all around the world.
The next million... learn how to keep it so you don't have to pay so much to your uncle.
Congrats man!!! The coke and whores are on you tonight.Comment

There are alot of people who work 12-15 hours a day or even longer. They are called doctors. I wouldn't say these people are fucked in the head. Hopefully they do it because they love what they do, because to work that long in a day you would have to love it or it would make you wanna kill yourself.I envy the people that make a lot of money, fuck the best girls, visit the best places on the planet, and have the most fun
why the hell would I envy you??? you sold 5 years of your life for 1 millions bucks, it is a SHITLOAD of money but you have to be seriously fucked up in the head to do it
remember kids, MODERATION, MODE fucking RATION !!!!!!!!!Comment

Congrats on the hard work, personally I couldn't agree with your work schedule even if it was only for a few years (I rather my free time and enjoying life at every moment), but to each their own

I'm glad i didn't think that way. Very few things in life come without sacrifice. The sacrifice I made was well worth it considering the financial gain. Myself, my wife and my children will never have a financial worry in their lifetime. The sacrifice I made was a very small price to pay for that.Comment

I guess it all depends on your priorities in life (and of course, those can and do change over time!). When I moved to Costa Rica for example, my goal was to open my own rock bar/venue. When I got the money to be able to do so, I instead opted for buying a house. I basically swapped priorities there, but looking back I'd never change all the experiences I've had through partying and travelling, to work more even if right now I'd have way more money. Same goes for spending a huge amount of what I make, I could never see myself investing in the longterm future - what if something happens to me and all that sacrifice never pays off (like injury, sickness, death, etc...)?I'm glad i didn't think that way. Very few things in life come without sacrifice. The sacrifice I made was well worth it considering the financial gain. Myself, my wife and my children will never have a financial worry in their lifetime. The sacrifice I made was a very small price to pay for that.
I think though as long as you are happy with your decisions, they were the right ones
