Great throw back thread, I liked meat the times I've been able to talk to him. Aga on the other hand is the man. Will always look up to him and would love to talk to him again. Hope he's doing well and enjoying life

You wouldn't like him if you knew him. The last time they were in Vegas all together (right before NP imploded), i went there specifically to meet with Aga about some business he wanted to do in Russia.

This was a while ago. Maybe 2005. I can't remember much as I was barely sober... but here is how I remember it.

That fucking idiot Meat wasn't getting enough attention from everyone and people are kind steering away from him because he's so loud, vulgar and filthy, so he announces a and a last bid for attention, that he's not feeling well and goes to his room (shared with a friend of mine). My friend was sharing a room with him. He stumbles in drunk and meat explains that he needs my friend to "watch him sleep" because he's afraid he's going to die. This guy was basically like "uhm, no problem" and was asleep before he finished his sentence.

He woke up to Meat hovering over him like a serial killer and freaking out and upset that he allowed meat to asleep and wasn't watching him. I mean, totally off the charts insane & purely attention seeking behavior. My friend is too incoherent to care and meat calls the front desk and literally demands they send someone up to the room to watch him sleep. They ask him if he needs medical care and he says no and i'm sure some other probing questions were asked before they realized he's just a fucking lunatic. Meat falls asleep and wakes up again, completely incensed that now the Mandalay Bay is trying to let him die. So he calls and complains to the front desk, complains to security and anyone else he could get to pick up the phone.

Then he sits down and proceeds to write by hand, what was maybe 8 rambling pages or so to the hotel management that they are basically allowing him to die/trying to kill him, are responsible if he dies etc etc etc etc. Then he tries to take it to them to make sure they read it.

The point is, for that guy, .... that was a Tuesday.

He was a disaster in every possible way. People like to attack nick for taking over NP but after being around Meat and considering you have a 6 figure a month business to run, it is super clear that it couldn't have ever run with Meats involvement. Remember meatsplace.com after NP? - remember all the bad poetry every day? All the poems about Nick? That was meat running a webmaster forum for business people.

Of course people are "nice" at shows. They are there to kiss ass and make deals. But that guy,... whoa! fucking nuts. The few shows i was around him at (to Aga and another mutual friend) he was fucking insane and he was barely holding it together to pretend to be someone even though he really had nothing to do with NP or running it or its success or ad sales/revenue. He was just a semi retarded homeless guy that came with the deal once Aga bought NP back.

The reason I always liked Aga was that many people were telling him to cut Meat loose and he just wouldn't do it. I always respected that. However, to maintain the business, he obviously should have. And in retrospect, he should have done it on day 1.

and by the way, who remembers the 19 year old cam whore he was dating? that skank took him home to meet her parents. imagine your 19 year old daughter bringing home a guy who looks, acts and talks like a totally disheveled 75 year old homeless drug addict with Tourettes Syndrome.

I don't recall her name off hand but I remember her. Pretty sure I have a few photos of her in the archives.
