For several hours on Thursday, a Speedway station in the Cincinnati suburb of West Chester advertised regular for $9.09 a gallon on a sign high above an interstate highway. Motorists couldn?t miss it as hundreds sat in traffic in the area following a crash on I-75 involving three tractor-trailers.
All one driver could say was, ?No way,? then adding that he wanted to go back to California.
The gas station fixed the numerical error late in the afternoon, putting the cost at $4.09.
One motorist grumbled that the sign will probably show the much heftier price for real before long.
