PS: Infact this event does not surprise me comming from AEBN whats so ever so its no big deal. No one makes huge money with AEBN and if they do the guys that use AEBN really did not think about maximsing there income potential.
While Videosecrets has many many many accounts that generate over 100K per year with long time clients, AEBN does not. Why? Because AEBN fucking sucks no matter how ya look at it so I can care less about this topic LOL!

But how long have you sent them traffic? Those 240 members are an accumulation of all members you have ever sent. They never expire since it's non-recurring so that's the amount of members you have sent them the entire time you have promoted AEBN. It's not just active members in that count.Comment

They aren't going to respond to this thread here is the way I took when we wrote them. They told us to call them to discuss it and but when you call them be sure to ask the question what if I remove my links. Our rep is very aware of this thread we personally gave her the link to the thread.

someone should start an affiliate gripe blog, kind of a storing house for drama to record the history as it progressed and any resolutions, would be a good reference for affiliates in deciding who they want to send traffic to... although I'm thinking forum copyrights on content would make it risky to save thread contents in a separate independent blog though I guess

How do they know if you "removed links"? Do you mean stop sending traffic? You could have links up but nobody clicks. Hell they got a whopping 32 clicks from me in the last 4 months. I better still get a check. Sorry but in those 4 months of viturally sending no traffic their 80% ammounts to over $1200 in their pockets. No bad for someone sending no traffic. Who cares if we don't have links if the members we did send are still buying?Comment

They check the links I guess. What they said was is. If joe blow went through your site to your theater and bought minutes and doesn't use all the minutes and comes back later to use some minutes and can't find the link then joe blow thinks they can't use those minutes anymore and calls AEBN cause they want their money back. What was also asked was don't you send a link in their email to the theater for them to gain access. The response was yes we send them an email but most don't pay attention to the email. To me it all sounded pretty fucking lame.

OK, at first I wasn't going to share my thoughts, but after thinking about it over night thoughts should be shared.
AEBN is under constant threat from Hotmovies, Yappo, AdultRental and some other sites.
AEBN has enough traffic and doesn't need affiliates.
AEBN pays out a lot of money, 90% of which is probably old recurring.
Before this:
Affiliates had no reason not to try Hotmovies, Yappo, AdultRental. They'll still get their checks from AEBN which is probably >90% recurring from years past.
Affiliates not only get recurring, but they also get a lot of new recurring. Win for affiliate, win for Hotmovies, Yappo, AdultRental. Loss for AEBN.
Personally I know hotmovies has gotten a lot of large AEBN affiliates to switch. I'm sure the other VOD programs could say the same.
Now since putting this into place AEBN is all in the win category:
Affiliate pulls traffic - AEBN keeps recurring money and sleeps on piles of cash.
Affiliate keeps traffic with AEBN - AEBN keeps sending checks, other VOD companies are blocked from that affiliate - AEBN sleeps on a pile of money
AEBN is a tough competitor. I don't think they care about the affiliate as much as they care about the bottom line.
I'm not saying their affiliate reps don't care about affiliates, I'm talking about the management who actually run the company. I'm sure their reps are all reading this thread and wondering how they are going to do their job with this working against them.Comment
