Fisting is one of those things that can get you into trouble, yet there is nothing on the books about it that says "fisting is illegal." What they seem to successfully prosecute for is if you have ALL fingers in. A full fist. However, if you leave out the thumb, it's not fisting, and nobody bothers you. You insert your thumb, you run the risk of big, expensive, legal problems.

To show how absurd this is, you can take TWO HANDS, totaling EIGHT FINGERS, and shove them in a hole, so long as the thumbs on both hands are not inside with the other fingers, it's not fisting. So 8 fingers = OK... 5 fingers (with the thumb) = you're running a huge risk.

Recap:

As long as your thumbs are not inside...

1 - 1000+ fingers = ok

If at any time you add just ONE thumb, it could land your ass in the hot seat.
