I don't even look at my ICQ list anymore... just open it, and wait for people to start bitching... handle most of my outgoing contacting through AIM these days.

To keep adding people to my list, I've had to sort people into different groups - 2 of which are "old contacts1" and "old contacts2". If I don't have any recent conversations - that's where ya' wind up in.
I think mine is full of webmasters about link trades when I first started and program reps that are no longer with the program that I had them associated with.
Lets everyone please fuck ICQ off .. its impossible to remember numbers.
Why not use GTalk? Two best things I like are:
1) History is saved on web, your gmail account. So, your laptop, office PC, home PC .. all are synchronized in terms of chat history. And you don't need to backup and restore it.
2) Built-in email system. Contact is offline? want to send something? Shoot an email .. instead of leaving offline msg, "bro, whats your email? I gotta send you screenshot" lol ..
