BMW is surely the winner on the technical specs. But I think the newer Audi's look much nicer specially with those leds headlights. But BMW is still the better choice indeed.
Mercedes is just a brand. if you know the history of Mercedes you know why.. Mercedes used to custom make their cars fully in Germany but they had big problems making the cars profitable as making them was almost same expensive as selling them. So later a few years back they decided to hand out all their parts making to cheap chineese factory's and since then Mercedes have never been what they really where. Its just the brand making you feel like you got something good, but in fact your driving and 70% cheap chinese factory made vehicle and you really notice this on the quality.

Offcourse its a dude posting here. Probably a fut ugly one too. Fuck still people falling for this 100 year old trick
I drive an Audi, my next one will be a Merc, BMW is for poor people, it's the cheapest over here
My only problem is that the climatronic on my car simply refuses to work in extreme heat ;(
As sson as it hits 29+ (it was 35 yesterday) it simply blows warm air, I mean seriously, wtf???
i dont really care about the looks - they all look fine.
i'm talking about superior engineering and stuff.
i heard people say that audis feel cheap on the inside (interrior)
then you haven't seen an Audi from the inside since 10 years, nowadays they way better ratings than Mercedes or BMW who both have been critizised for using cheap plastic interior
nowadays audi, mercedes & bmw are equally good, it's a matter of taste. and at least here they also cost more or less the same
+ the fact that they have severe braking problems at the current a6 models (and i am not sure at which other models) make me think that audi is more looking for cost reduction than customer satisfaction. my brother had to have his brake disks replaced twice at a mileage of only 12.000 km. go ask an audi dealership about it, if they are honest then you will step aside from audi by yourself.

Then really BMW is the choice technically and engineering wise there's no better choice.. Second comes Audi nowadays.. And sorry to say for all you proud mercedes owners.. Theres allot of brands like Volkswagen etc. Who come even before them. Mercedes really sits down on place 12 or so..

Audi have actually won the award for the highest quality build, with all their exterior panels lining up to 2-3mm (thats about 1/10th of an inch). BMW is a drivers car, designed mainly for the driver, and they handle very well. Mercedes are more of a luxury car (old mans car they call them) though they do make some insane vehicles such as the C63 AMG, great value for only 55k in the states, whereas here in Australia it will set you up for a 140k bill to foot. Audi are very nice cars though, but what you should really do when looking to buy one is go and see the quality for yourself, if interior panels are out of line, if the dash feels good when you touch it, if panels line up nicely. BMW/Audi/Mercedes will all be of much higher quality than any American built car (no offence, us aussies cant build much better either), and most japanese cars.
Mercedes used to be the best built car in the 80's, since daimler took over though, they did go down hill immensely, but in the late have brought back their rap with quality and are building some very decent vehicles, well those built in germany anyway.

From what I know is that all Mercedes are just assambled in Germany but all parts are still coming from cheap factory's. The latest models are probally a little better again as they really needed to save their name..
Atleast I hope so for them its a real shame to see such a quality brand go down the hill so fast. At some point I think even some Toyota's where having better ratings then their cars

A couple years ago when I wanted a larger car I test drove the A8 and 7-series. I like the A8 MUCH better and wound up going with the A8L. They are priced pretty similarly. I think they tried to make the 7 a bit too "sporty" for what I wanted (a comfortable daily driver) and I liked Audi's MMI better than iDrive. The 7 had way too many buttons all over the place also.
However, I have driven the 3 and 5 series and A4 and A6 also. And I like the 5 series a lot better than the A6 and the 3 series a little bit more than the A4. It seems that the A8 is a lot different materials wise than the A4 and A6 while BMW seems to be more consistent across its model range.
That said I think the Audi is going to turn into something different for me in a few months
I'd say Mercedes is the car of choice of those three then I would say Audi for me and if I had to pick between the 3 I would select an Audi as the Quattro system is better than the 4matic and we get a good bit of snow here.
all you people saying bmw is the better choice engineering wise, do you even know what your talking about or are you just blabbing? cars are about tradeoffs and compromises. it comes down to what compromises are geared towards what you want from a particular manufacturer.
theyre both nice cars. the new 1 series, and 3 series are serious machines and can be quiet fast for little more cash and arent all that expensive. the top end audi's are absolute driving machines. for me audi's are a bit too heavy on the lower end for the power they make.
I used to work as a mechanic during the summers, and I have to say that Audi isn't that great. Most of my experience is with the A4 model. The absolute worst are the 1.8 Turbos that are in some of the A4s, they have been known to cook the motor oil, I've seen those engines go at 50K miles. The other engines aren't as bad, though, but the 1.8T should be avoided at all costs. In general, Audis develop weird problems, the shop I worked at has a 1999 Audi A4, someone bought it with a blown head gasket, and it developed all sorts of problems afterwards (digital message center burnt out, has a draw on the battery so it'll die if it sits for a while, smokes blue from the exhaust (I am guessing the turbo is going), only runs for a couple seconds due to a computer problem, and when it is running, its runs rich.). Did I mention that this car only has 78K on it?
BMWs, on the other hand, well they just come in for regular maintenance, mostly. My uncle has a 1998 BMW Z3, with almost 100K on it, and no major problems. The 3 series is one of the few Euro cars that I would own.
But with both of these cars, the repairs can be expensive.
Seems to me Audi is for people who cant afford the BMW
Seems to me that if you are making that statement or you are agreeing with that statement then you have a small penis or are just generally self-conscious and need an expensive car so you can feel like you are better than others.

bmw all the way!
My A4 brakes were absolutely awful beyond words. I replaced the car and lost 10k on it.
I'm not sure about the Audi but Allie bought a BMW 650i a couple of months ago. My vehicles haven't left the garage since, every time I leave the house I steal her ride (except if it's snowing ). Never thought I'd be a BMW fan but I think I'm hooked for life!
FACT: If you live in the United States, you can NOT get the service, warranty or coverage INCLUDED in Benz or Audi like you do on a BMW!!
some of you might say, hey, they just roll all that stuff into the price. WRONG!
FACT: Payments on a equally priced Audi or Benz are ALWAYS higher then a BMW's
FACT: Neither Audi or Benz have as high of a residual as BMW.
FACT: Lowered powered BMW's smoke higher power output Audis and Benzs ALL DAY LONG.
FACT: To get the same performance out of a Audi or Benz as you do out of a BMW you would have to pay substantially more, good amount more.
So there you have it....
Lowest payments: BMW
Best residual: BMW
Best performance for price: BMW
Covered under warranty (everything but tires. we're talkin brake pads and discs, oil, even windshield wipers! ANYTHING but tires: BMW
so, with all this in mind, for US people at least, you guys are saying Audi or Benz is better? Thats just PERSONAL opinion and nothing more!
On paper, between the 3, all things considered... there is no competition for BMW.
