Size should be 468x60,80,100 (your choicce)
Gif or jpeg, animated or not, I'd like to see a little of everything and the winners will be varied.
Flash is ok also, but there would probably be only one flash winner if any.

Flash banners have a higher CTR nowadays. Why do you think all the big-time companies hire firms that deal with new media technologies (Flash, etc.)? Because it works.
