    best option to save files

    What do you use to save files?

    I have used dvd's up to now.

    But film files are huge.

    Whats the best back up option?

                  dvd and cd (those you burn yourself) starts to become unstable/unreadable after a year for low quality media. worse media ever for backups

                                          I backup my laptop weekly onto a external drive and I have a older drive that I backup once a month for a 3rd copy.

                                                      i use an actual time machine. When something happens i hop in it and go back 1 day.

                                                                  i back up my hd to external hd but for personal pictures i keep the sd cards (i don't erase and use them again when they're full) and also back up to these. gets expensive though..

                                                                      DVTimes.... an external hard drive is a good way to go. I also back-up via Dropbox to my laptop so I have two backups for my most important files.

                                                                      Also, Amazon Glacier is an extremely cheap way to back-up if you want to go to the cloud.
