He does have a good point though.
The whole "global warming" as a "crisis" was started under the Nixon administration (you know, one of those pesky "conservatives")
He sent Daniel Patrick Moynihan as the delegate from the U.S. to the NATO summit on Acid Rain and Greenhouse Effect.
Moynihan had "settled science" from a consensus of the "world's top scientists" (as the alarmists like to claim even today) that the entire Eastern seaboard of the United States was going to be underwater before the year 2000.
Moynihan walked into the summit claiming that the world needed to act right away.
The Europeans weren't stupid and saw through it:
"After an enthusiastic start on authority level, the German government reacted sceptical. The initiative was seen as an American attempt to regain international terrain after the lost Vietnam War."
So yeah, Europeans aren't as dumb as crockett is trying to say. They don't all fall for this shit in lockstep like the sheep Alarmists do.
