Why do I keep getting the AVG popup saying the free version will end 6/25/08? Anyone else getting that?

I love Kaspersky. And it's pretty cheap too. It really does GREAT.(I use KIS)

NOD32, it uses very little system resources and gets the job done perfectly

I'll second that. Avira AntiVir is one of the best free antivirus products I've used, and I'm sad enough to have spent a week testing all the antivirus products I could find (including Norton and McAfee, which piss away enough resources to make a grid system crawl to a halt).

                      Guys,

I "used" AVG too and well recently it went to popup heaven. I have removed the software and removed it from my software guide as well. (stupid fools lost a free link) I think the lamest of all lame things to do, every update, which you can't turn off and happens everyday includes a nice annoying popup while you work...

I have deleted it, but let me know if they learned differently and changed this back to the old style. I understand it's free, but they did get free exposure offering it free, and offer NO support, and they got a link from our website too and thousands others free brand their products so, now they want to "PROFIT" by annoyance... not very nice without warning.

I would have just downloaded their popup blocker but somehow i doubt that woulda worked besides they did not have one. LOL

And no haters please I'm not in the wrong, after all I did choose to un-install.
Delete this account, i am done here

avast sucks shit. my wife recently deleted several system files due to false positives, and now her laptop is fucked up. I had to spend a day sorting it out. piece of shite. best is no AV and be smart.
