We just hear that another member of our family is going to Iraq. He has been before it was a few years ago. That makes a few from our family and friend circle now. How many of your friends and family are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan at the moment?
How many soldiers in Iraq or Afghanistan do you know?

I have a couple of cousins in the new Iraqi forces. I am not worried though, slowly they are getting the real terrorists (mostly Saudis and Bin Laden people) out of the way.
I am not a violent person but I do wish a painful death to those who blow themselves up at market places, schools, kindergartens and police stations.
For how long will your relative be in Iraq, and do you know where exactly? -
I don't know the full details yet. My mother told me he was going back last night but I will call and talk to his wife today. He had come back after a number of years in the forces (they met when they were both stationed in Korea) and a few tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and decided to try to go civilian but was finding it really hard to find a good job and so he went back in and was aiming for a desk job but ended up being sent back. It was less scary for them, I am sure, before they had the two kids they have had since his last tour.I have a couple of cousins in the new Iraqi forces. My daughter is headed for the gulf right now on the USS Ronald Reagon, she's be pretty safe.Carbon is not the problem, it makes up 0.041% of our atmosphere , 95% of that is from Volcanos and decomposing plants and stuff. So people in the US are responsible for 13% of the carbon in the atmosphere which 95% is not from Humans, like cars and trucks and stuff and they want to spend trillions to fix it while Solar Panel plants are powered by coal plants
think about thatComment

a soldeir? meanig he signed up with the army himself? you didnt happen to make him sign up for MaxCash, blame yourself!!
On a seriosu note, is there any other opportunity in USA that is diferent from risking his life in that bloody manner? I m sure there are plenty of, unless US Army offers easy money when you retire, that may work for lazy ones.Русня, идите нахуй!Comment

I know 3 buddies of mine that are over there. One was back about a month ago for leave and headed right back after. He said about a week before his leave they were on a recon mission and their Humvie back passenger side fender was blown off by an IAD they ran over. Nobody was hurt in the incident. They got lucky. Don't think he really wanted to go back and really can't say I'd blame him.

My cousin just got back last weekend from Iraq. He was on a 6 month tour of duty. What made it worse for him was he came back for 2 weeks after being there 3 months - in that time his fiancee had their first baby. He then had to leave after 2 weeks with his new baby and got back for a further 3 months. He's home now tho and loving being daddy to his son. I think he's set to become a training officer based in Catterick in England now tho.Comment

you know you lost an argument when you have to sink to personal attacks.
why be part of something your not willing to fight for? your country does a lot for you, why not give something back. furthermore i was not mentioning any one country or government, don't assume things. i feel the same about all countries and the people living within them. what if your country were to be attacked and it was full of pacifist pussies? you would be overrun.
secondly... you join the military to protect your country AND serve it. it doesn't matter if you agree with the war you are sent to fight or not... if your government was democratically elected then you are working on behalf of ALL the people in your country, not just a government with 'shady intentions'.
not all military personnel are fighting wars, or even armed for that matter. remember that big ass tsunami a while back? a lot of military hardware and man power was chipped in on that one. just as a start, there are literally thousands of other uses for a military.
a military has a purpose.... if you want peace, plan for war.
think about a bit more, maybe you will understand some day.Comment

My neighbor was in Afghanistan and another place for a total of 3 over 4 years. He is out and happy to be. The things he told me about are right in line with Alex Jones, even though this poor guy does not know the whole story. He's not supposed to, he's a soldier not a banker.Comment

Currently about 25 are serving in Afghanistan or Iraq. They are troops that I served with (at one time or another...some during the '91 gulf war) or the children of troops that I served with. Several of my old comrades have fallen and a few of their children have fallen. When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!
