Tech Capturing Pictures (HQ) From Video Software ?

So I have a couple of scenes I am working on right now, but they don't have any accompanying picture sets, so I am thinking I need to somehow capture the pics from the video...

Now I know you can do it in Premier Pro... but think that is a quite manual way of doing...

Is there any software (preferably free lol) that can automatically capture a bunch of images, and that is good quality (it is HD video) ? Anyone using anything, any help/advice much appreciated

You can do this very easily with FFMPEG if you are comfortable with the command line. Here is an example of how to do it.

Photo shop will do it but your going to get every image it can from the video. Then you have to go though and see what you want to keep.

there is a video player from apple I think that will do it also with a bit more Time frame control.

            Thanks All...

Thanks every one for the input... I am thinking I may just do it in Adobe Premier... it's only a couple of scenes and I only need about 50 odd pics from each scene... so might as well do it manually so I can be real selective lol
