Dawn Patrol Report for the OC: Westerly swell is solid on the San Pedro buoy this morning, down from a peak overnight. Better breaks through the region are going head high+ to several feet overhead off that energy, with occasional sets pushing well overhead for standouts. Focal points through HB offer a few lingering double overhead sets early. Winds are calm to light offshore for mostly clean conditions as the tide approaches a 1.8' low at 7:26am. As for shape, there are some corners to be found... but the more open Westerly exposures are a bit overloaded/walled on the largest sets.
I'll wait a couple more months. Where are you? Looks like River Jetties.
hah, good eye. that was at the brookhurst outflow this morning, just a bit N of the jetties.
But we go out anywhere between the HB pier and the wedge.
PM me whenever you're thinking of being out this way for a surf session, you can paddle out with us anytime! oh, not trying to sound like a rad poindexter, just to make sure- I am LEARNING how to surf! I can't claim to really know how to surf yet but by this summer I'll be a lot better, that's the plan anyways! if I don't crack some ribs in the meantime
