    Hey Bro's. Need some feed back. Chick I've been talking too......

    Damn, some chick I've been seeing, chilling with, talking to for long hours with, getting to know, sleeping with etc etc all that stuff..                                   wow, almost this exact thing happened to me a bunch of years ago, I couldn't get past it and avoided seeing her again after she told me, now thinking back I kind of wish I hadn't been so paranoid, she was a really cool girl and the fact that she told me so soon upfront was a testament to her honesty, but I was young and couldn't get past it, so I blew her off...... apparently it is only contagious when flare ups but I don't really know enough about it to say for sure

                                                                                                          The problem with herpes is that a condom provides even less protection for this disease than it does for others.... as it's a disease that is transmitted through skin to skin contact.

                                                                                                          And while flare ups can sometimes occur very rarely (once a year or less) there is a 7 or so day 'incubation period' that you can still contract herpes, without visibly being able to see them. Otherwise, you can only contract herpes during the flareup, which occurs 7 or so days after the incubation period.

                                                                                                          Also keep in mind that herpes can be contracted and can inflame not only around a vagina and on a penis, but also around the anus, nutsack, inner thigh AND mouth.

                                                                                                          It was valiant of her to let you know about it quickly before anything got too serious, but it's now probably in your best interest to end things... While sex with anyone means a 1 in 4/5 chance of them having herpes, it's still a hell of a lot better odds of not getting them than a for sure 100% chance of them having herpes.

                                                                                                          Also, don't ask 'what should I do?' 'how long should I wait?' 'what lie do I tell her?' to make her feel better or something. What are you? a fucking girl? That's what girls do. Just do what YOU think is right and honest.

You would want to avoid sex during a break out. Unless she has a raging case of the herps you should be ok. your immune system may react differently to the virus but the majority of people with herps show no signs at all.
