    doomsday clock update: we are 2 minutes closer to global disaster.

    Originally, the Clock, which hangs on a wall in a Bulletin's office in the University of Chicago, represented an analogy for the threat of global nuclear war; however, since 2007 it has also reflected climate change and new developments in the life sciences and technology that could inflict irrevocable harm to humanity.

    The most recent officially announced setting?three minutes to midnight (11:57 pm)?was made on January 22, 2015.

                      Sorry, this is nothing more than silly nonsense. Climate change might have killed the dinosaurs, but it's not going to kill mankind. Just not gonna happen.

                                  No, not at all. I would imagine climate change or an asteroid killed them.

                                  I am also not saying climate change isn't real; I am sure it is. We are coming out of an ice age and it's going to get hot. But I am also confident mankind will be able to survive. Eventually we'll just have to move underground or something.
