    Invention: Does this already exist?

    A device for opening apart the tops of garbage bags, that are stuck together when new?

    A clamp with a jet of air or something? I'm not trying to invent one - I wanna buy one!

    Just spent about 4 mins rubbing the top together and almost getting a microscope out to find the minute gab so I could pull it apart...

      haha the cheap bags are like that. i do feel stupid fumbling around trying to figure out how to get the top end open.

                                      When you go to a UK supermarket. They often have self service.

                                      If I get just a few items I use (but hate) the self service.

                                      The one thing I hate is not being able to open the plastic bags.

                                      They just never open for me.

                                          Put a lil spit on it and you're good. My idea too. See who needs inventions. Spit and a hand, you're good to go. It has multiple uses too!

                                                  One simple option (not sure it will work) is to try sticky tape and use that to grip both sides of the bag.
