    Ugh, I've been without power since fucking Sunday

    In Michigan for a few weeks and we got hit by some crazy storms, knocked the power out Sunday evening and it just came back on earlier today. What a fucking hassle it is to not have power, especially with no air conditioning when its in the 90s and humid.

    So glad its back on and I have AIR CONDITIONING again.

      That sucks, I'm waiting on some design changes from a designer and he has been without power for a few days now...

                      oh man i went through that 4 years ago for 2 days in a heatwave - fucking brutal.

                      internet withdrawal just by itself is pretty bad.

                                  On Friday morning at 3am, the lightning was going off like bombs here.. one struck a tree about 50 yards from me and set it on fire. It was a serious light show, and I'm told it made national news (at least an AP story anyway).

                                  Didn't lose power for more than 5 minutes, but I lost 2 tv's, a very expensive desk phone, my router, and my cable modem. All dead from the massive surges.

                                  I just got a replacement modem today. Mother Nature:

                                                      Ah, yeah it was pretty nutty here too. Fucking wind was like 90 MPH, blew over tons of trees and wrecked all kinds of shit.

                                                                              Ouch, Probably not much chance of it happening twice but you should have someone come out and install a surge protector on your breaker box; protects the whole house. Maybe buy a lotto ticket well you're at it.
