Sponsor Hosting = Own IP + Full Access?

Someone enlight me on sponsor hosting please. Is it like on a real host, where you have cpanel, directadmin or what ever and you can use it like your own real host? Add domains, add ip´s, set up email accounts etc etc.. or whats the catch on it?

I'd like to know who's doing this these days. I haven't heard about many in quite a while.

I have list of over 100 sponsors which offers free hosting.I do have free hosting with some of them, but you cant use it for nothing beside gallery submit in most cases.Only few sponsors offers php and mysql which allows install of blog and other scripts.

depends on the sponsor. Most will give a simple virtual hosting account, but some will give entire dedicated servers.

Generally, you get a virtualhost on a shared IP with CPU limits and no admin interface; you're also expected to only promote that sponsor from that site.

Hosting is cheap but a lot of people have tons of virtual accounts all over and that does add up. Free hosting comes in handy when you wanna spread stuff out.
