I'm asking how effective the whole process is. With the DMCA loophole the shit goes back up the next day.
And by "effective" I mean have any paysites been able to track whether using such a service has led to more sales, increased revenue, better SERPs etc. Because if you cannot quantify if the removal service is actually helping your business (i.e., making you money) then what good is it? It just makes you FEEL better, knowing you are doing something to combat the illegal spread of your content.
I actually wonder if all these torrent links, user uploaded videos, Member Areas rips etc act as some kind of fucked up advertising at this point. As long as the vids are properly watermarked, of course. :D After all, when you think about it, a pirate can probably spread a watermarked video around the Internet a fuck lot faster than I can by uploading to a handful of Content Partner tubes. :D
