    Race relations in the USA

Getting set back a hundred years with this stuff. The whole thing is getting so out of hand.

It's a never ending thing. I doubt it will ever end.

I sort of thought when we had a black president that it would. The whole idea of getting an Al Sharpton to speak for the "black community" sort of lacks impact when the President then has to speak for the "white community" and he is black. Surely some people are getting the fact that we are in this together?

Peace and harmony do not get web site views or sell newspapers. The media will never let it end.

The media blows it way overboard. Maybe in inner cities where people have no prospects or generally poor areas where people want an excuse to blame others for their issues.. Any normal place in the US racism is a non issue.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

But we don't really have a black president any more than we have a white president and
the fact that no one will accept that is why America is racist.

Obama is the first bi-racial president.

People easily say Obama is black but struggle to comprehend that he is white.
People disown their own blood because they don't like the skin and hair appearance.

We can't keep calling Obama "black only" and claim that race relations have changed.
There is a reason why people don't want to call him white in any context whatsoever.

                Al Sharpton :

The media keeps telling me that he is my leader and you keep believing it.

You can say that but we both know in the USA and the world, he is black.

I have a white relative who is in these areas and the cops beat him up all the time. They stop and hassle him all the time.

Cops do this shit to poor/criminal people all the time. But most people know to deal with it and move on. Resist arrest or try and get in their face and see how it goes. Notice how when you talk to anyone from another country, they are not on the side of the criminal in any of these situations? Because they fear the police in most countries.

My Brazilian friend pointed out that the one guy went for the cop's gun and didn't get it so the cop killed him instead. Only fair. He then added on that I shouldn't mess with the police.

How any group can march in support of that situation is insane. I am opened minded, I am mildly racist like most Americans, and I do not see how anyone can think that was a race related shooting versus "you have scared the cop into killing you" shooting.

Yeah, we both know the world and the USA are racist.

It's racist to keep denying that this shit is racial.
That implies that millions of black people are delusional when they report interactions with the police.
Racist people can't even see violence against blacks when it's on video tape.

Reading the black vs white responses, racism is never going to end. There will never be mutual understanding. There will be always finger pointing. This photo is a depiction of a natural reaction of no understanding.

Maybe it has a lot to do with black people turning words like "bigoted" and "prejudiced" and "stereotype" and "biased" into meaning "racism" as well.

Racism used to have a very specific meaning. You won't find many "racists" in the USA as per the actual definition of the word... meaning people that truly think one is dumber, slower, more uncoordinated etc etc etc simply because of his race.

You guys don't even know what "racism" means... because in the last 20 years, racism as it is now commonly used has come to simply mean "i'm black, you're white, so shut up because I don't like what you are saying, whether its true or not".
                            .
Yes, fewer illegal immigrants working equates to more job opportunities for American citizens.
