        Or me........... Sheffield is an awesome city too, one of my favorite UK city next to Leeds and Manchester.

            Met him once. Back in '82, before his big comeback with "up where we belong". He was in town to play a gig at the Red River Exhibition, a giant fair that comes through every year in June. I was working at a local hotel at the time, he and a couple of his backup singer girls wandered down to the lobby. I went up and had a brief chat with him. All of the hotel staff present were starstruck, whispering about how he was at Woodstock and what a music legend he was.

            I recall he and his ladies all marvelling at how it was still light out at 10:00 pm 'up here in Canada'.


            One of a kind.
