As new leader of the democratic party Obama has laid down the law and as of yesterday the DNC can no longer take money from lobbyist or PAC's special intrest groups...

I actually heard the first things I didn't like about Obama today. My Aunt works pretty high up for a NASA contractor and it seems Obama has major cuts in store for our space programs.

One of the only things I liked about Bush was he actually gave NASA funding to get shit going again. Would tick me off if Obama starts cutting that stuff if elected.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

He is threatening war with Iran
He is looking to expand the war into Pakistan to "get Osama"
He will keep no child left behind
He will raise taxes
He will keep the patriot act
He will keep "secret prisons"
He will keep warrantless searches
He will keep wire tapping
He will keep our boarders open (where the real threat of terrorism lies)
He has no plan to save the failing dollar

The list goes on.

Yes he is better than McInsane... But how much better?

It's a toss up. We could spend the $ to make the earth more suitable for more people. Or we could spend the $ on NASA and start the great migration to other planets to solve our over-population issues.

IMO i think we should be betting on expanding on to other planets. When gallon of gas or a loaf of bread costs $30 no ones going to give a shit about the environment....period.

Lets just hope some other Alien race doesn't consider us a Virus & exterminate us once we're start inhabiting other planets.

We went from zero to landing men on the moon in just under 10 years. Why? Because we had drive and determination as a nation to do it. Having the nation behind that kind of determination is what causes us to advance further and faster.

He isn't going to use the money for global warming but for education, yet knowing how govt works it would end up everywhere but there. So in the meantime thousands of jobs are lost and a entire industry that drives advancements goes to nothing.

I'd say we could cut back on a B2 bomber or two and save a few billion or quit subsidising big oil and corm farmers who grow it for fuel. There are a million places to save money with out taking away something as important as NASA.

In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

btw I'd say $4 to $5/gal fuel will go a long way to helping us out on global warming. I had to drive down to Brevard County today (place the shuttle launches) and the traffic was much lighter due to not as many people driving.

It's pretty clear less people are driving if they don't need to, that means much less emissions and greenhouse gasses.
