You could call yourself the Pulitzer Prize Winner for Photography 2007, but that doesn't make it so, and if you make such a claim, you should be willing and able to provide proof.

Actually, Claire did in fact make that claim...here are a few examples:

My whole point is if you make such a claim, the least you can do is provide some actual proof about what you are saying, when challenged about it.
If I repeatedly said, my co-worker won the 2007 Boston Marathon, and someone questioned me about it, at that point it is on me to back up that claim, even if I was just repeating what I was told.
I would first ask my co-worker to corroborate their story, and then I would possibly check online to verify it, since a claim like that should have proof to document it. If I found out that what my co-worker told me was not the case, that maybe they just ran in the Boston Marathon or watched it, I would be disappointed in them, but then I would set the record straight, since I was the one that repeated the claim.
The question has been posed before, Christina is aware of it, and Claire and Christina work together. Claire's friend/co-worker Christina, that works in the next office could easily get Claire off the hook if there is anything to substantiate the claim both have made.
The issue here (and why I post it in this thread) is not just whether Christina is "German Dom of the Year 2006", it is Claire's credibility, since I believe it has been demonstrated, that she has danced around many questions/issues, obfuscated, dissembled, and given conflicting answers, then said that people misunderstood her when she changes her story.
The statement that Christina is "German Dom of the Year 2006", is pretty much a straightforward statement of fact, and there is not much wiggle room. Either it's true or it isn't. The issue again is credibility.
Furthermore, if I have an ad/links on my site that make a claim that has been publicly called into question, I would make the little effort that it takes (in this case), to find out if it is true or not, and report the results. If it is not true, then it might be time to remove the ad/links and quit making/repeating the claim as well.

Honestly, the extent some of you will go to to quibble about trivial details astounds me.

When I think someone's credibility is suspect I just don't do business with them and move on. And I don't recommend them to anyone. If I'm really pissed off about someone in that special way I might add them and their site/company to the blacklists I've had online for over 8 years.
