Would it be a tie if no one voted? How would they allocate the delegates?Comment

That's how most politicians get elected.
Only a few who are organised and mobilized to vote elect politicians.| skype: getscorecash | ICQ: 59-271-063 |

electors get to chose who wins, not the voters. although many states require them to follow the popular vote some can vote for whoever they want regardless who wins the popular vote. i think if no one voted the electors would get to pick in EVERY state. democracy at work333-765-551Comment

Good point. Lot of "ifs" required to get to that link being relevant then.electors get to chose who wins, not the voters. although many states require them to follow the popular vote some can vote for whoever they want regardless who wins the popular vote. i think if no one voted the electors would get to pick in EVERY state. democracy at work

this whole thread is full of "ifs". im positive whats described here COULDNT happen considering every candidate has their own personal vote as well as family members in other states. if the public didnt vote in protest, there'd be 2-20 votes in a few states making the protest meaningless not counting the ones who voted for one just to keep the other candidate out. how many will vote for obama to keep mccain out?

if no one voted, there'd probably be less recount drama :p
however the result would be the same.
But if im gonna take the question seriously im guessing some kind of severe political action would be taken if they discovered only about 40 people out of 300 million voted. Possibly a faction who doubted the entire democratic system would come into being due to popular demand. Dictatorship by demand.. sounds swell.Comment
