I tried to get my Pomeranian to sleep with me. He will not. He doesn't like his bed or carpet either. He likes the hard kitchen or bathroom floor.

Problem is dogs lay around on your carpet, and outside wherever they feel like it, and they pick up those mites in their coat. Then they haul them inside and deposit them into your bed, and they get deep in your matress and multiply. And it's a bitch to get rid of them.
That of course can be remedied by having a decent flea collar on your dog, brushing them good every day, and run your vacuum VERY often. But most people don't do all that.
But whatever, people are going to do what people are going to do, same as dogs, if you let them.

I let my dog sleep in the bed during the day whenever he wants and at nite if i'm sleeping in it alone he can sleep with me, if i have a guest, he is on the floor in his bed

My dogs can't get on my bed w/o using the ottoman that I bought for them. In fact, the two oldest ones can't even get up there using it. When I don't want them there, I move the ottoman, put up a baby gate downstairs and they're quite happy on the sofa. Until time to eat.......

My girl is so little she had to be litter trained. So I let her sleep in my bed one time and she pissed in it. I wanted to beat her, but I couldn't cuz she's too cute! If I had a choice I would let her!

I never use to let my dog sleep with me, but now that she's so old, I let her up on the bed. She sleeps with me every night now. It's her favorite thing in the world, and seeing how she's 12-years-old now and won't be around too much longer, I figure... why not? My dog prefers to sleep on the cool tile floor but will get up on the bed to get a better look out the window. I never let him get on the couch. Every morning at 7:45 a.m. give or take a few minutes, he will get on the bed and gently try to wake me up for his morning walk

I have a cat that spoons me at night. She crawls under the covers, puts her little back against mine, and then her head on my pillow.
She has done it since she was little, and there has never been anything I can do to change it.
