in light of the stunning announcement by the USA to cut greenhouse gases 90% by 2050::::

if they are not going to help us fix the problem, they should all by volts instead and make it worse.

And you wondered why I said the agreement was useless in the first place.
In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.

          yes!
it's also because they are an elitist country run by conservatives.

You miss the point entirely.. If Canada can back our of their agreement, what makes you think the US or China can't back out of theirs?

The simple fact is a UN agreement is meaningless unless our govt is willing to back it at a state by state level.

hey look debbie downer is back. woomp womp. so much for optimism eh. already crossing your arms about any accord in spite. Ok. just proves my point, global warming alarmists are more interested in arguing politics than actually giving a shit about pollution.

so no, you missed the point entirely. the thread topic is about canada not giving a shit about pollution.

              it's in the title.

harper's base is the west/alberta/oil and fracking country. plus his popularity is plummeting.

it has nothing to do with "canada."

Among G8 economies, Canada has the worst greenhouse gas record, and Environment Canada attributes Canada’s poor showing to large increases in oil and gas production.

There is a big problem of coordination with this type of policies. How would you persuade 7 billion people to stop polluting? If that kind of thing is easily accomplished, I wonder why there wasn't some kind of agreement to stop all the wars in world. Wars are more lethal than pollution.
-I can't quantify my hatred of the State. Preferences are ordinal.

-The absolute ruler may be a Nero, but he is sometimes Titus or Marcus Aurelius; the people is often Nero, and never Marcus Aurelius.

Canada gets a free pass to pollute because, you know, it's tough for them to stop and because of, you know, war is bad.

                        you must be canadian.

Canada accounts for 1.5% of greenhouse gases worldwide

                          China 25%

Yet the oil sands is supposedly the worst thing on earth

Canada gets a free pass to pollute the world because it's the 9th biggest polluter on the planet.
