Urijah Faber vs. Jens Pulver? Real MMA

that's what I'm really hoping for. but hey, after elitexc last night, this could be a huge bomb vent and still be better than what i've seen already this weekend.

Last nights card was kind of a let down with the exception of of the lawler fight and the girls fight. Hopefully tonight's will live up to the hype. Pulver is tough as nails and Faber is supremely talented. Should be a great card.

the only reason you'd even start to consider carano's fight and lawler's fights decent is because they were sided next to a bunch of jokes, thse fights were crap in themselves. carano was overweight and slow. lawler's fight ended in a retarded stopage (though the fight itself seemed to have a good pace)

This card is insane. For those who havent seen these guys fight, they are real studs. Watch Miguel Angel Torres closely. The guy has some serious skills. Im curious to see if Mcculom can come back from a devastating loss as well as Curran who lost to Faber. The Valencia Cruz fight should be fast paced as well. Im very excited because the lighter weight classes are barn burners.

True the Lawler fight shouldn't have been stopped. he said he wanted to go on, but they also said he told them he couldn't see. He should have been given the full five minutes before any stoppage.

The Corano fight was entertaining, but she was slow and you could tell she was a little out of shape and not at her best. Still, I had never seen a girls MMA fight before so it was something new to me.

The other fights (not including kimbos) were way too onesided and it seemed like it was just one guy trying not to get killed to fast. The kimbo fight started out interesting with him getting taken down and showing some of his strength, but by round 2 both guys were so out of gas that it got sloppy and kind of lame. Kimbo clearly needs to work on his cardio and ground game if he wants to really compete at anything more than an exhibition level. I think elite XC is probably not happy with that fight at all. I think they wanted Kimbo to come in and knock him out in the first round, but Thomson came to fight and wasn't intimidated. It looked like neither was in very good shape though because in the second round they both looked like they were ready to pass out.

What did you expect from a card filled with C level fighters and UFC droped outs ?

i hope faber gets a good taste of lil evil... faber is a great all around fighter, but man he is getting too cocky.. i think this is going to be one of the best fights of the year...
