First I have to say Lil Wayne SUCKS!!! Now...about the 'change' in hip hop. It did happen it just needs to happen again. Timberland changed hip hop. Run DMC changed hip hop. The whole 'dirty south' movement changed hip hop. Plus there are other 'sectors' of hip hop that are already extremely different, unfortunately they are just not played on MTV, BET or the radio because they don't glamorize what the 'popular' rap does.Comment

I actually enjoy a couple of his songs because despite the mumbles there is some good thought in some of his lyrics. He will be going to prison soon I believe for his hotel being raided for the smell of pot when he wasnt in. There was no pot but they found some pills. Funny how they gained enterance to the room with no pot even being there. LOL They must have been shocked the guy didnt have any pot in his room.No doubt one may quote history to support any cause, as the devil quotes scripture.

While there were a lot of DJ's angry at Lil' Wayne for his anti-mixtape DJ rant, some are taking action by sending email blasts containing links to download the rapper's upcoming album Tha Carter III, which is scheduled to drop June 10.
One DJ had this to say in an email:

I listen to all genres of music and have to be honest with you. His album is actually pretty good. Track 2 is bumps like crazy in the car,Track 11 is definitely original, Track 12 reminds me of the DMX and Ruff Ryder days, Track 16 is by far one of the best tracks I have ever heard. I have given this album a couple of listens now and even though I am a huge wayne fan its definitely not some of my favorite shit of his. He definitely made it more mainstream/singy than his normal style as I am sure to sell a shit load of records and radio play. But for anyone that says he sucks you arent rap fans cause he puts out more shit than anyone going now and most all of it is great. But I doubt too many people here listen to mix tapes like I do. They just go by what they hear on their local radio station.Comment
