I've looked at a few scripts for tubes, Mechbunny appeals as you can use it on multiple sites. My question is, is the installation simple? I've installed scripts such as Wordpress and vBulletin so I'm OK with databases and config files etc. Is the process that straightforward and are full install instructions included?

its very simple, just edit the config.php file and some chmod's here and there and you are done.
but for more customization you need to edit some other files too, like editing titles and description of pages. -
Best thing is to get your host to confirm the script paths, apart from that its just a case of editing 3 lines and setting up a db.Comment

If you are getting the CJ script, make sure your php handler is DSO. If it is set to suPHP then it won't work. Minor configuration here and there.Comment

Just make sure if you have cPanel -- make sure you make php handler to DSO. If there are other sites on your vps, changing over may knock them offline and you will have to fix permissons (I think it is permissions). This was only for the TUBE SEARCH SCRIPT. I am not hardcore enough with disposable income to get the expensive one.Comment
