    Gigantic Turkey Legs

I cannot find a whole turkey on this island to cook for Thanksgiving.

What I can find are turkey breasts and these gigantic Turkey legs like you get at the fair.

I can make the turkey breast just fine...though still not the same as carving a real turkey on Thanksgiving.

Have you cooked these legs? Should I deep fry?

I roast them in the oven with garlic, salt, pepper and this McCormick Chicken Seasoning I found and baste them every 20-30 minutes with some real butter, not margarine - and they come out so full of flavor and juicy.

Bake them in the oven, then finish them on the barbecue.

The ones you buy at the fair are smoked, right? or is it barbecued? I am really not very familiar with either method but I am familiar with how yummy those State Fair Turkey legs are

If you are baking the Turkey breast I really recommend brining it, it will make all the difference in the world. When I do Turkey breasts I usually brine for 2-3 days then throw it on the grill on indirect heat. Once pulled from the brine, rub with Italian seasoning, salt and minced garlic.

                      Now I'm hungry....
