    Players Ball XBIZ July 10th - final artist decision being made, need input

    After a very long hunt for the main artist, we've narrowed it down.

    We tried for the biggest artists we could get. It wasn't an issue of them being too much money in some cases, it just didn't work out in their scheduling.

    So we have some interesting options.

    Out of the big rappers I suggested, we tried for Nas, The Game, Ice Cube or E40. Only E40 is available on that date. And he made a good deal for us and said he'd love to do it.

    If you're not a big fan of his, you might be after seeing him live. He has a ton of club bangers, you might already know his songs but not even know it's E40.

    In addition to these options, I might be able to add DJ QBert to this event. Hopefully we can get 1 or 2 more sponsors and we'll be good to go!

    I'd highly recommend clicking some of these youtube links so you can give me your best input. Keep an open mind.

    Also, the Players Ball will have a new venue this year. The Empire Ballroom closed down. We started off at C2K, then Prana Lounge and Empire Ballroom. Not bad to have only 3 venues over 10 years in Vegas. Each club eventually closed their doors and we searched for a new home. So I'll be excited for a change of scenery this time. I'll haver the new venue locked in within the next week or so.

    If you have other suggestions for artist, I'll consider other options if they fit into the budget. But realistically, these 2 are in the price range and both would be totally hot.

                                                                                                                              IF the act was more rock, I'd go with the Rock The Ball name and save the Players Ball for a true Players Ball style artist.

                                                                                                                              HOWEVER

                                                                                                                              Navarro vs Scribble from what I've seen so far, they play current hip hop and rap with awesome guitar licks jamming to it. If the music is dancable, like a hip hop show, then it's more of a Players Ball. But you know what, Navarro rocks so hard over it, it could be a perfect 50/50 split of rock and hip hop.

                                                                                                                              The true vibe of the Players Ball is all about the vibe in the room. Hip Hop artists bring with them a swagger. You know what I mean? Like the Stones are awesome, but they don't have a Players Ball type of attitude or swagger. E40 totally does, Snoop, Cube, Cypress Hill, Xzibit, etc, they all have it. Navarro being a "porn industry" person lately give him that swagger. He's all about it. Plus he has a cockyness commonly found in rap stars. Swagger.

                                                                                                                              Now if the music Navarro vs Scribble played sounded more "Janes Addiction like", it would be called a Rock The Ball without a doubt.

And He's appeared on HUNDREDS of other artists songs.. No one will know who E-40 is in a couple years? Wipe the spider webs from your eyes man.. E-40 is a legend in Bay Area Hip Hop... He's influenced so many people..

                                                                                                                                      He started rapping in 7th grade, was always into music, he played drums at age 8.. He was selling shit out of the trunk just like Too Short.. He's a true entrepreneur which equals out to him having the clout to play at the players ball in my opinion..

                                                                                                                                          E40 was one my favorite rappers to this date. His first 4 albums were legendary, his rhymes are tight & his lyrical style is untouched. I would love to see him live.

                                                                                                                                                      For me, it's a coin toss between the 2, that's why I posted this asking for feedback.

                                                                                                                                                      Once I hear back from Navarro, whether he'll take my offer or if he's even available that date, then it's decision time.

                                                                                                                                                      IF anyone is even slightly considering a sponsorship for the Players Ball and you have a preference, your money can be the difference in who performs. If you want a smaller sponsorship and you'd like Navarro/Scribble, it can happen as easily as hitting me up right now and I can lock either option in with 1 or 2 more sponsors.

                                                                                                                                                      YOU can have the power of who's playing. That simple.

                                                                                                                                                      But if you don't care and I make the decision, I might flip a coin or go for the least expensive between the 2.
