Life is Hard. I have been shot (several times different occasions), broken bones, had my appendix burst and not gotten treatment for 17 hours, buried parents and siblings, nothing compares to loosing a spouse, especially that way.
I would not wish it on my worst enemy.
But life goes on, you learn to cope, it is not easy.
Hug your spouse tonight, tell them how much they mean to you, you never know when fate might separate you.
