    Business Apple Pay Is Too Anonymous

    Retailers are unhappy with Apple pay for reason that the user's (buyer's) identity is kept from the retailer but wouldn't a similar system be ideal for adult entertainment? The payment platform might do better at integrating loyalty programs and vendor affiliate programs also -- we would not need cookies and be able to use surfing records and their URLs of the user's device(s) where the payment app/api is installed.

    I proposed a very similar payment system to my bank (a regional bank) but they were bought out by a very straight-laced regional bank in Ohio. The plan might be for co-venture now ...

      Right. This has nothing to do with the rejection of Apple Pay and everything to do with the unwillingness of retailers to install NFC-capable terminals.

          The problem is the anonymous nature. I have a coffee cup with store loyalty cards -- I just keep a few with me in my wallet. Also, the cost of processing may be an issue and additional 1/2% discount to a retailer might be a real bite into their margin.

              You could always issue virtual cards to ''members'' outside of the VISA-net system and it's rules. Also, complying with the AML and other international treaty rules, proper money transfer agent licensing and complying with PCI-DSS standards.

              Porn buyers want anonymity and a man-in-the-middle to look after their privacy and payment dispute interests in a rather shady purchase environment.

                  Well, seeing as everyone HAS to have chips and pin next year, the change WILL come. Might as well do it now and get apple PR too

                      According to this article the whole loyalty card issue is bullshit -- other than the possible leaking of proprietary data -- this is maybe the real issue.
