Fubar Hacked?

I got some weird spam email from the FubarWebmasters website too. Seeing this thread now makes me wish that I had kept it for analysis.

This was a managed server at NatNet? If it was, all of your security updates should have been done, so I'd suspect it was either a third-party product exploit (WordPress, etc), or someone that had direct access (new hire?).

It reads like they're trying to extort 2 bitcoins from everyone 'or else' they'll release all your Fubar database information. Not only is that absurd but to add insult to injury they publicly cc'd the list of email addresses in their spam threat. I personally don't care what of mine gets published from Fubar but I'm certain there are some out there who would mind very much.

Yes, its a managed server and we are extremely careful who we allow access to the site. But it happened never the less

basically it happened right after and there were quite a number of people there from the eastern block, who preferred to remain anonymous. Maybe I took one of their pics and this is their way of getting back at me.
