Wawel obviously, castle of polish kings and one of the most famous meridian in europe (assuming you believe in such things, if not just go visit Wawel for it's architecture and antics).
another interesting tradition is connected with main Krakow's square: everyday at 12th o clock there's trumpeth signal played by fireman on the tower of church (signal always break prematurely to honor tradition i'll write below about it), this tradition is 700 years old and legend says that trumped long ago was killed by arrow before he finished his play (trumpeth signal was played everyday to let know guards it's hour to close town gates, also a warning signal when enemy comes close to city's gates, in this case arrow which killed the guy was shoot by tatar's however guards managed to close gates in time) so just be there in 12 at the day ;)
also church which tower is used to play trumpeth signal is one of the most famous churches in krakow and inside it is very old gothic altar made by Wit Stwosz, it's biggest if im not wrong gothic altar in europe and figures are 2.7m in height, definitely worthy to see it was made in 15th century.
as for the rest my friends who are the proffessional guides they say the most pretty part is Kazimierz - it was a city build in XIV and now is a part of Krakow, there's lots to see there from what they said, old architecture and antics.
beside this there's cons: city is expensive, especially center of it but for a few days it should not be a big deal.
hope it helps, have fun ;)
