I am building a dating site. It's getting there but not done yet. A thought in my head hit me though about fake profiles. Should I use them to make my site look busy? Or should I just try to market my site with promos to encourage people to sign up? The site is aiming at the gay market. I feel like fake profiles is cheating my users. On the other hand I feel like not doing that would cost signup's. My personal prospective is I would prefer organic growth. I'm not greedy and would rather grow a brand.

I'm working on a mainstream dating site right now (not in your category). It's not my first one.
Using fake profiles is a scummy way to go. Building traffic for a new dating site is difficult, but resorting to fake profiles is unethical and could blow up in your face if people realize what is going on.Comment
