Thumblogger VS. your own domain name (blogs)?

I haven't used thumblogger but i notice a lot of people using it for their adult blogs... does it perform okay in terms of SEO... do they get indexed well?

Any info on thumblogger and if it's any good would rock.

    Thanks

Ive never used it either, but i would always recommend going for your own domain and self hosting.

Even if someone wanted to setup a handful of sites off of one domain, in subdomains or subfolders.

Not just for adult but for any type of site really.

I started two blogs on Thumblogger some time ago and posted some handwritten content, but more or less forgot about them. When I checked them again some weeks ago, they were PR2 and PR3. Did not do much SEO or linking, just submitted them to some blog directories.

The templates are not perfect, e.g. 100s lines of inline CSS. But you are free to change them.

Yeah see I don't care about Page Rank at all because it doesn't affect your SE placement... did those PR2/PR3 blogs rank well?

Thumblogger is one of maybe 10 superdomains, where you are able to add and create pages.

But it is certainly the only "adult superdomain" where you can add and build adult sites. If you are new, and have no domains with age, or links, I would strongly advise using Thumblogger.

It has a proven track record in google, google loves spidering it, AND it loves ranking it, all you need to do is NOT fuck it up, and you will get serps.

Unique content, go easy on the links, and you should be ok.

As your own domains age and get links (yes from your thumblogs) you can start pushing the link power and traffic over to your own bought domains.

I made a small fortune (enough to buy a house) off of blogspot and thumblogger back in the day as I waited for my own sites to collect some age.

Anybody, big or small who doesnt utilize a massive domain like this for links is foolish.

Ok, I guess you caught me. I'm by no means a SEO-expert and I'm far away from being able to by a house All I'm saying is that thumblogger blogs get indexed. My sites get Google traffic for target keywords, but not to much, as I didn't pay much attention to them during the last 18 months or so.
