The U.S. is ranked LOW. Number 44 to be exact.
I'm going to guess that info will be used to say: "See! We need 'universal healthcare' and thank God for 'ObamaCare' "
I am of the opinion that before the govt. got heavily involved in "health care" with HMO's back 30 years ago that our health care system was great. You didn't NEED insurance because it was cheap enough to pay out of pocket for all but the most catastrophic health needs.
But once the govt. got involved...our health care system became "broken". And now we once again need the govt. to "fix" something...that the govt. broke in the first place.
Funny how that seems to be the case in so many things in our society. The govt. creates the problem and then "fixes" it. And we end up not as well off as we were before the govt. ever got involved in the first place.
Just my opinion based on what I've seen in my lifetime.

What was the US ranked in 2005, before Romneycare took effect? (See what I did there?)
It's a serious question however.
