What I don't like about the cloud for music is: data transfer, connectivity.
I don't want to have to increase my data plan just so that I can listen to my music. And in my home, my connection sucks. Sure, I can do Wi-Fi, but the connection issue is still a valid point. Take a trip to the sticks and want your music? Nope!
Like you and I both said, most people are doing the cloud now and most people don't have the music library that I do, but I do still feel there is a niche market that could be fulfilled by a boutique electronics company.
