If I was into fitness I'd be like WTF as well but never bought one and just use the iphone/itunes for tunes in my car. If ya love the thing buying a spare wouldn't hurt. Know they been talking about dumping that for a while. Only thing I ever bought was a SanDisk Sansa Clip but ended up giving it to my Mom as I barely used it.
