    Anyone have experience with Ch00pa?

I can't find out much about them because their name has been banned here for a long time.

I know they fucked up pretty bad when making a datacenter move a couple of years ago.....that's the only really negative thing I've been able to find about them.

Those of you who host or have hosted there, are the techs knowledgeable? Do they reply to support requests promptly? Is the network fast?

Do they deliver what they've promised you? Or are they one of those hosts who boasts a tier 1 network and then routes the oubound traffic through cogent, and tells you that you're on a dedicated server but it's actually a shared box?

Any info you're willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

From what i was told by several people is that they are simply the worst of the worst. They really do not have onsite techs 24/7 and just have a small cage in a level3 facility. Think about why you dont ever hear of anyone reputable using them? or why you're not getting any real feedback from your question? it's because they aren't in the same league with most of the "Real" hosts. I wish I could give you some 1st hand experiences but i cant because when I researched them all I found out was bad after bad experiences with them, so I choose to stay clear.

      Very biased opinion.

Their techs can be a bit cocky, but they are not bad techs knowledgewise, and you have no idea how much bandwidth they control actually.

We have four 100Mbit servers with them and never had a problem. Never had any downtime, and when you get a $799 for a 100Mbit server you get the full 100Mbit, you get exactly what they adevertise. It saved us $1000s of dollars in bandiwth costs by moving to them, and never had any regrets.

My business is far to important to wait "A Few Hours" for any support, to me over 10 minutes is unacceptable to at least know a tech is working on my problem.
