The West did fuck all for the Jews in 1948, the Jews certainly were the fittest in the Middle East as they kicked Arab ass all over the Levant to create the state of Israel and they did it again and again when the Arabs ganged up on them. And most of the land won in those years they gave back, keeping only what was important to having defensible borders considering they're surrounded by lunatics who keep promising they will drive Israel into the sea.
