transformers dark of the moon is on..

Doing some work & just put this on in the background. This is absolutely horrible. One huge clusterfuck of overly detailed cgi - the aim was probably to make it more realistic this way but it has the opposite effect. I understand kids wanting to see this, what i don't understand is why adults go see this shit. It doesn't even have the entertainment factor mindless action movies should have, so how can anyone be entertained with this shit? Brain damage? 'It has alot of moving, blinking and gamegraphics, i like, i like!!!' WTF

It's like the new Star Wars movies. Everything focused on how much CGI they can put in. When really, the original movies were just fine with a decent mix of CGI and well, non CGI scenes...

I ought to say something, but nothing "printable" comes into mind. I don't really know that am I some sort of "dinosaur", or is there something wrong with many other people.

it's a huge big pile of unwatchable loud shit and that's an understatement.

the other day i was watching true lies (again) and i remember thinking why they dont make any movies like that anymore. Great movie, fun, action. Movie in the same league is the long kiss goodnight. These have actual humor in it and fun characters, along with very nice action.

I love Transformers: Dark of the Moon. It's fun, it's cool, and the wing suit scene is fucking jaw-dropping. Oh and John Malkovich, especially during the job interview scene, is hilarious. I also love the cameo by Buzz Alderin, the nods to Star Trek, and the epic, epic distraction of Chicago. This is REALLY a fucking good movie. Sorry you don't like it.

don't know what to say... I am at awe that you don't just like it, but that you actually love this movie. I cannot comprehend this.

Yes it was jaw dropping... as in the effect of a lobotomy

It's a movie about Robot aliens that come to earth. Not really something that should be "realistic"

Go see Guardians of the Galaxy. It's loads of CGI (done right) but humor, fun characers and lots of action!

I love the first one. The second one was okay, nothing special. The third one I only partially watched, was awful. The recent one I haven't touched yet, not sure that I even will.

It wasn't bad, but I a fan of anything with Marky Mark.

Couldn't fall asleep last night and watched Shooter for what seems like the 50th time.

Better producer than actor. Always finds fun projects that turn out nice, but his acting is terrible. Stick to producing Mark!

it's how the overdone animations are done - but i bet you know what i mean.

'the thing' (the 80's one) is also about aliens, as well as Alien, Aliens, terminator 2 was about a robot from the future.... All really great movies with flawless, believable and fitting effects.

almost missed this edit when i look at the poster & trailers of that movie it's something I would normally instantly avoid, but i read it's really a different movie than the rest. So yes, I will definitely watch this one, just because i'm curious.

and with the rest i mostly mean superhero movies, i hate them. Only one that i found fun was spiderman 1 of Sam raimi. Plus the best bit (which alot of people somehow hate) of spiderman 3, where peter parker goes bad and walks down the street as if he's the man. Funny as fuck.
The rest sucks ass, i tried the first Wolverine, the first Thor, X-Men... I find these very boring & poor movies. Thor takes the cake though, it is one of the shittiest movies I have ever seen.
