Those not in the US who tell us not to complain, please also inform us in same post to your availability of cabs, trains, buses, and general daily distances to places such as harbor to city. Then while you are at it please post your areas minimum wage or average wage. (forget your taxes cause in all honestly we pay me in taxes and just do not get the benefits you do if we added it all up).

Well taxes are pretty high in Holland (unless you are a foreigner opening up a company here) Altough I must admit we do see allot of it being invested back into our country.. Our health insurance system is probally not costing as much as in USA as ours is commercial but government controlled.

As for minimum wage I can say there's already many people that cannot afford to drive a car to work every day. Altough we do indeed have better public transportation I like to add are not so cheap as well. Taking the bus/train to work for me would for me cost double then if I go with car.

On top of that many Americans laugh about us that we drive little cars with little engines, compared to USA 6litre V12, but let me tell you that this is really because of the gas prices not that they care so much about the enviroment here or that we prefer smaller cars over bigger ones.. Altough they are pretty handy for in the city hehehehe..

I think if you compare the country's in whole maybe you are right that your guys gas prices are lower but your salary in general also is and other costs higher.. But I still feel we pay more in comparisson..
